The Phoenix Smart IP43 Charger range has all of the technology you have come to expect from Victron, with built-in Bluetooth, 5-stage adaptive charge algorithm and a host of other features. This 24V high output version has 3 full-rated charging outputs, with each capable of delivering 25A to a battery (or bank of batteries) when used on its own, or with the 25A shared between the outputs if more than 1 is used. This setup is ideal for use on boats, enabling you to charge your house, starter and bow-thruster (or windlass) batteries from one charger.
Victron's adaptive, intelligent charge algorithm automatically optimises the charging stages in relation to the way in which the battery is being used. So, for shallow discharges, the absorption time is kept short to avoid over-charging and for deep discharges, the absorption time in increased to ensure a full charge. There is automatic voltage compensation to account for voltage drop over the DC cabling, a fully programmable charge algorithm with presets to suit all battery types (inc. LiFePO4), remote on/off connections and a programmable relay that can be used to activate on an alarm condition (low/high voltage, high temp etc.) or other events.
The charger is silent in operation, relying on natural convection cooling rather than a fan, and the output can be limited to 12.5A , meaning it can be used with smaller battery banks if required. It is also fully configurable using the built in Bluetooth connectivity with a huge number of options available through the VictronConnect app. The VE.Direct port allows it to be connected to a network of other Victron devices and be centrally monitored, controlled and configured by GX devices such as the Cerbo GX.
We recommend this charger for use with lead-acid batteries (or banks of batteries) with capacities of around 125 - 250Ah. It can be used with smaller capacity lithium batteries depending on their charge acceptance rate . In all cases, refer to the manufacturer's guidance for maximum charge acceptance rates.
Please note: This charger does not come supplied with an AC mains power cable; it must be purchased separately (click here).
